Meet the Team: Jeff Hartsell

Forty-four years ago, Jeff Hartsell joined our team as an assembler, building sidewall propeller fans. He started on July 2 and was so ready to get to work that he didn’t want to wait until after the July 4th holiday.

Seven years later, an opportunity to move into R&D changed the direction of his career. Today, as Lab Manager, Jeff oversees product testing and certifications and serves as a key resource for research and development. Along the way, he helped build the S&P USA lab as we know it today and has played an important role in advancing our products and testing capabilities.

For Jeff, the work connects to a curiosity that started long before his career. As a child, he remembers experimenting with a fan by the fireplace and figuring out how fans worked.

More than four decades later, that curiosity is still going strong. His advice: Be patient. Listen. Challenge yourself. Look for opportunities. Be bold.
